Sheffield Contemporary Art Forum (SCAF) is a not-for-profit consortium company working to further the presence and awareness of contemporary art in Sheffield through joint programming, audience development and profile raising activities. SCAF undertakes marketing and publicity work for the contemporary art sector in the city, publishing an Art map and running online listings for contemporary art exhibitions and events in Sheffield.  SCAF has also programmed and co-ordinated four city-wide events to date: ArtLink and Art Sheffield 03, 05 and 08. SCAF also produced The Sheffield Pavilion, presenting work by artists living and working in the city to international audiences at the Venice Biennale and Documenta in 2007. 

SCAF seeks a dedicated and experienced individual to co-ordinate the artistic programme and provide administrative support for our work, during and beyond the maternity leave of the artistic programme manager.

The main areas of responsibility will be:

i) co-ordinating the artistic programme of Art Sheffield 10 during the maternity leave of the Artistic Programme Manager (including co-ordinating and contributing to curatorial committee meetings, liaison with artists, project management for commissions, budget management, travel and shipping arrangements) and supporting the Manager in co-ordinating the final stages of the delivery of the Art Sheffield 10 Festival.

ii) co-ordinating the launch of the Sheffield Pavilion 09 (liaison with launch venue in Istanbul, co-ordination of installation, launch event and promotion) 

iii) co-ordinating monthly meetings of SCAF’s Board of Directors
