Kay Aitch: Observation and ImaginationThu 02 Jul 2015 – Wed 15 Jul 2015 Kay Aitch: Observation and Imagination (open )
Kay Aitch, a Sheffield-based artist, brings her exhibition ‘Observation and Imagination’ to 35 Chapel Walk Gallery for 2 weeks in July. The exhibition will explore the potential of art to contribute to health and wellbeing. Kay will be running two ‘Drawing for Wellbeing’ workshops to link into her exhibition on Monday 6th and 13th July.
Kay is a mixed media artist, and will be showing a series of sketches and photographs created in response to her day-to-day experiences. She sees her work as a continuum; finished paintings, drawings, digital images or sculptural pieces, she feels, “… are like punctuation marks in an ongoing essay”. Kay prefers to work on or with paper, using water based paints, ink, crayon and pencil, and will also be showcasing digitally manipulated images developed from her photographs and drawings.
Places on the Drawing for Wellbeing workshops are limited and must be booked at https://kayaitch.eventbrite.co.uk.
