Bloc Projects, Site Gallery and S1 Artspace will present their summer previews on the same night, Friday 9th August between 6 - 9pm.
Bloc Projects presents a double bill event for their Graduate Incubator Project Residency with new graduate Lizzie Feather (more here) and a closing event for the Lionel Dobie Cha.let Residency with Sheffield artist David McLeavy (more here).
Site Gallery will present new work by Laura Buckley in The Magic Know-How, a 3D sensory sound and light collage in which, as Buckley states, ‘cold technology retrieves a personal memory.’ More here.
S1 Artspace will present Crude Oil, an exhibition of newly commissioned work by artist Nicolas Deshayes inspired by a period of research with the Leeds Museums and Galleries collection. Alongside new work he will present a number of personally selected historical works from the collection including works by Hermon Cawthra, Geoffrey Clarke, Frank Dobson, Jacob Epstein, John Farnham, George Frampton and Henry Moore.
