A number of academics from various disciplines across the University of Sheffield will present a series of lively 10-minute talks addressing some of the questions raised by ‘Zero Hours’. The talks will be followed by an open discussion.

The event is free to attend and audience members are welcome to come and go throughout the afternoon. Furnace Park will also host a new work by Ben Cain, open throughout the day.

Furnace Park is a new project in Shalesmoor, bringing together artists, researchers, architects, engineers, students and community groups to develop an outdoor space for exhibitions, talks, screenings and research. Located on the corner of Doncaster Street and Matthew Street, it takes its name from the nearby 19th-century cementation furnace.

PODIUM is curated by Bhavani Esapathi and Amanda Crawley Jackson.
