Compass is an 18-month project that aims to stimulate the growth of live art in Yorkshire & the Humber. Compass’ professional development programme offers a range of approaches to support practitioners, programmers, curators, producers and academics through practical skills development, networking and platforms for critical debate. The next Compass workshop takes place this February in York.

Are you…

· Interested in developing your own personal performance practice?
· Want to explore a range of performance approaches and techniques?
· Keen to work with practitioners from different disciplines and backgrounds?

Then take part in the second of three practical live art workshops taking place across the region, led by experienced solo cross-disciplinary artist Sarah Spanton.

This workshop is for artists from all backgrounds: fine art, contemporary performance, digital/time-based practices, sound-art, contemporary dance: who’s practice includes making or wanting to make live art/contemporary performance, who want to perform in their own work or perform with others. Aimed at both emerging and mid-career artists, each workshop will be tailored specifically to all those taking part.
